Although The Met is more famous for its massive collections of French impressionistic art and its vast displays of Egyptian artifacts, it does have a rather robust amount of museum quality silver pieces that should not be overlooked. You will find a variety of European silver masterworks creations as well as a smattering of some early American Colonial era pieces. The presentation of the displayed pieces at The Met was exceptionally well curated.
