In the year 2020, the most popular sterling flatware pattern of all time "Chantilly" by Gorham celebrated its 125th anniversary.
Although most pieces in Chantilly by Gorham are not considered to be museum quality, there are upon occasion some super rare items in this popular pattern that are interesting. We have included in The Silver Museum collection a rare Chantilly Asparagus Server Fork shown below:
Here are some more images of Gorham's 125th Anniversary Celebration from The Atlanta Gift Show that I attended in January of 2020.
The Atlanta Gift Show is a pretty extraordinary trade show which usually features the top vendors throughout the country who are selling all things: silver, china, crystal and gifts. There is even an antiques section where it is possible to find antique museum quality silver.
I absolutely loved this piece that I saw there, but the dealer wanted $45,000 and Idid not want to go that high. Sometimes you have to know when to pass and walk - which is what I did that day.
We Buy! We want to purchase silver pieces like the ones shown above! If you have items that you'd like to sell, or even just want to get an idea on valuation

Chantilly has always been one of my favorite patterns.
